Speak
Marisa Renee Gaulke
You tell us to speak
yet you say we know nothing
You tell us to speak
yet we aren't heard
You tell us to speak
yet you won't speak with us
You tell us to speak
yet our words aren't our own
You make us speak
the lies you tell
You make us speak
out against you
You make us speak
yet we still can't out speak you
Meaningless
Marisa Renee Gaulke
It's teeth are at my throat,
red, hot blood
oozing down my
neck length, unwavering in strength
it'll bruise.
Curving up
towards it's bitting jaws
I swung.
Mud brown blood
dripped from the rock.
It's sharp claws cutting
my thin, soft skin.
As my eyes cloud
I knew, to no surprise, I
was no longer important.
WorldWideWeb.
Marisa Renee Gaulke
Once you're here
you can never leave.
Once you've decided,
you can never go back.
We grab ahold of everything
you love to keep you here.
We will not let go.
You will not let go.
Once you log in,
you stay logged on.
Don't worry though,
you are safe here.
Don't be nervous,
you won't be judged.
We accept you
and everyone like you.
Embrace you.
Love you.
Be you.
Hate
you.
Darkness
Marisa Renee Gaulke
The Darkness consumes all that is light
the air becomes think and stolid
silent as night
Darkness moves and surrounds, soild
it tightens as it begins to suffocate.
A dull buzz fills the air
the once frightening Darkness, awaits
now seems warm and inviting everywhere.
The light momentarily makes my eyes dilate
the Darkness no longer scares
what's done is done.
Greeting one as a mate
we climb the stairs
walking as one.
